Suspicious object dismantled in Tubas

TUBAS (Ma’an) — Explosives experts from the Palestinian police dismantled Wednesday night an object left by Israeli forces in the West Bank city of Tubas, the police public relations office said.

Residents said the object was likely left by Israeli forces operating in Tubas on Monday, and was found by residents two days later, promptign them to call police.

A Tubas resident living near where the device was found prevented other locals from approaching the area, citing concerns for their safety.

The item was dismantled by explosives experts, and police searched the area for other suspicious objects, the office said.
