The protest was organized by the popular committee against the wall and settlements in the village and was meant to commemorate the 44th anniversary of the Naksa.

The protest started when internationals joined villagers and marched towards the location of the construction of the wall. As soon as protesters reached the gate of the wall separating local farmers from their lands, soldiers fired tear gas and sound bombs at protesters. The protest ended with clashes between local youth and Israeli troops.
