Mousa: Hamas participation in gov’t protected resistance, stopped concessions

GAZA, (PIC)– Hamas MP Yehya Mousa has said that his movement’s participation in governance had protected resistance and halted sliding into more concessions.

He opined that the Palestinian Authority posed as a burden on resistance and the national liberation project, explaining that liberation should precede authority and not vice versa.

Mousa added that hadn’t Hamas joined the government the latter would have been used to wipe out resistance.

The MP called for starting a serious dialog on nature and goal of the PA, adding that it should be rebuilt in a way meeting resistance’s goals. The PA should reflect the people’s will, interests, and security and should not be held hostage to agreements that turn it into a security tool for the Israeli occupation, he concluded.
