NABLUS, (PIC)– MP Husni Al-Bourini has rejected the decision by minister of economy in the illegitimate Ramallah government Hassan Abu Libde to organize elections for the Nablus chamber of commerce and industry in mid July.

The lawmaker charged that the decision ran contrary to the atmosphere of reconciliation and to the vision of the majority of national forces, which opined that the elections should be delayed until suitable conditions were created.

He said that holding elections in the current sensitive and crucial juncture would bypass requirements of the current stage, which necessitates providing an appropriate atmosphere for success of the reconciliation. He explained that holding elections while division is still not resolved would mean the sure win of a certain party without any competition.

Bourini said that elections are an indispensible right but that does not mean holding elections without providing the necessary atmosphere of democracy and freedom to guarantee an honest choice for the people.
