GAZA, (PIC)– Solidarity activists accompanying the humanitarian convoy Miles of Smiles III to Gaza delivered badly needed baby milk and medicines to the health ministry in Gaza in addition to 15 ambulance cars designed for the disabled.

Head of the convoy Issam Yousef told a press conference in a health warehouse in Gaza city on Monday that 70 Palestinian newly born infants in Gaza were about to die after a special baby milk formula went out of stock.

He said that the convoy brought 4,000 baby milk cans that can meet the Strip’s needs of this item for a whole year. “We also brought ten types of missing medicines, which would contribute in saving many lives,” he elaborated.

Director of international cooperation relations in the health ministry Mohamed Al-Kashef, for his part, reviewed the missing types of medicines in the ministry’s warehouses.

He said that the medicines and baby milk brought by those solidarity activists were very important, and extended deep thanks and appreciation for the organizers of this convoy.
