OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)– A concerned mother says she does not seek condemning statements but only that her son, a Palestinian prisoner in the Israeli Gilboa prison, is given the proper treatment.

Mohannad Juweihan, from Jerusalem, has complained of pain in the lower jaw and head.

His mother, who managed to visit him recently, has called on rights groups to have a medical committee examine her son and ensure he is given the proper treatment, in a bid to circumvent the medical neglect he has experienced in the Gilboa prison.

What concerns her most is not knowing the cause of the pain. She suspects that it could have been during his interrogation or arrest.

In Tulkarem, protesters have complained that permits to visit many of their relatives in the Israeli Ramon prison have taken too long to be issued.

They also complained during a weekly sit-in at the local Red Cross that they were forced to sign documents prohibiting them from visiting their loved ones in the Ramon prison until after Ramadan.

They said tightened restrictions inside the prisons have caused extreme turmoil and anger, and they also expressed concerns over severe medical neglect, as they accused the prisons of carrying out failed surgeries on prisoners.
