Turkish PM Erdogan Calls for Unity in Palestine

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that as long as the Palestinians did not have unity within themselves and remained divided, calls made by Turkey and other countries would not receive international response in favor of the Palestinian cause.
Speaking at the inauguration of the Palestinian Ambassadors’ Conference in Istanbul on Saturday, Erdogan said that the international community had a great responsibility to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian issue but that it was crucial for the Palestinians to be united within themselves so that calls made for Palestine receive greater support globally.

Turkey and its people will always be on the side of their Palestinian brothers and sisters, Erdogan said.

We watch with concern the Palestinian reconciliation government’s difficulty in appointing the prime minister. A decision on this matter will be a beneficial development for the Palestinian cause, Erdogan also said.
