NAZARETH, (PIC)– A right-wing Knesset member urged the Israeli premier to escalate settlement expansion and to seize more Palestinian lands in the occupied territories in Jerusalem and the West Bank at the pretext of seeking solutions to what she claimed Israel’s housing crisis.

According to Israel’s national news agency, Knesset member Tzipi Hotovely said the Israeli government can go a long way in solving the housing crisis by encouraging Jewish settlers to live on the outskirts of Israel (the 1948 occupied lands) and expanding settlements in the West Bank and Jerusalem.

Ignoring that Israel is an “illegal” occupation entity, Hotovely suggested in a meeting held by the Likud bloc in the Knesset on Monday that the government can mitigate what she described as the problem of seizing lands by the Bedouin Palestinians through establishing legal towns.
