GAZA, (PIC)– Hamas has released a detailed report on the Jerusalem’s historic Ma’manullah cemetery, which has been for decades under attack in a bid by the Israelis to Judaize the holy city.

The Islamic cemetery is one of the oldest in Palestine and even in the world. It contains key Muslim figures including some of the companions of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The report aims at “exposing the policy and the Zionist danger posed on the Islamic waqf,” as said in the introduction.

“It will never stop being an Islamic endowment, no matter how long or wide the attacks on it,” the report goes on to say.

The document was concluded with several recommendations, the most prominent being to “preserve the sanctity of those buried in the cemetery, like the Prophet’s companions and their followers, the conquerors, the scholars, righteous and other Muslims; and not to cede the right of the Islamic endowment no matter how much time passes”.

The report also emphasized the importance of moral and financial support by human rights, charity, awareness, and cultural organizations operating inside Jerusalem.

It also stresses the need to “expose Zionist policy based on the theft of waqf lands and Judaization of historic landmarks and the erasure and changing of the realities through television programs, seminars, conferences, and all media”.
