GAZA, (PIC)– Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad party, warned that Israel could once again target its leaders after Israeli war minister Ehud Barak made accusations of missiles being fired by the Brigades from the Gaza Strip.

“Barak’s accusations come in the framework of an incitement campaign launched by the Zionist entity (Israel) against the resistance. They are trying thereby to assign blame to the Palestinians for firing missiles in a prelude to targeting this faction and its cadres,” said the Al-Quds Brigades spokesman Abu Ahmed.

“We are taking these accusations seriously, as they are a potential prelude to the targeting of the brigades’ leadership and cadres. Therefore, we have taken special security measures to avoid falling into the enemy’s trap,” Abu Ahmed went on to say.

“Any folly committed by the enemy would be met with a specific reaction,” he declared.

He warned Israel against launching a new military operation in Gaza, saying that resistance forces have gained possession of capabilities that could inflict heavy losses on Israel’s army should it advance towards the civilian population
