People attending the Paris Friday prayers have held a rally on the occasion of the International Quds Day to show support for the Palestinian resistance against Israel.

The worshippers gathered outside the Paris mosque after the prayers and chanted anti-Israel slogans in support of the oppressed Palestinian people, IRNA reported on Saturday.

Iran’s ambassador to France and some embassy staff participated in the Friday demonstration.

In August 1979, late Founder of the Islamic Republic Grand Ayatollah Rouhollah Khomeini declared the last Friday of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan as the International Quds Day, and called on Muslims across the world to mark the annual occasions by holding street rallies.

Millions of people around the world pour into the streets on this day in a show of support for the people of Palestine, and to call for an end to Israel’s illegal occupation of the Palestinian territories.

The Paris demonstration concluded with the declaration of a resolution vowing support for Palestinians against the Zionists.

The International Quds Day rallies were also held around the world, including Germany, India, Pakistan, Turkey, Switzerland, Belgium, the US, as well as many Muslim countries on Friday.
