OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)– The Israeli chief of staff Benny Gantz has ordered boosting military presence along the borders with Egypt and the Gaza Strip after alleged intelligence reports on a new attack on Israeli targets near them.

The Hebrew radio said on Monday that the reports pointed to Islamic Jihad movement as the one planning the attack.

It said that the Israeli security agencies relayed the information to their Egyptian counterparts.

The Israeli war ministry instructed its soldiers and staffers not to trek roads 10 and 12 in the southern Israeli regions. The recent commando attack near Eilat took place on road 12, which is adjacent to the Egyptian borders.
