GAZA, (PIC)– Gaza prime minister Ismail Haneyya called on his counterpart in Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan to provide the needs of the hospitals in the Gaza Strip.

The calls came as an aid convoy visited Gaza at a time when other convoys from South Africa and Sudan were still present.

During a speech, Haneyya praised Turkey’s positions and public and private support of the Palestinians.

Haneyya showed his gratitude for the many aid missions that have arrived in Gaza and also called on the Egyptian authorities to release aid that was initially brought by the South African aid convoy, consisting of electricity generators. He called on those authorities to turn the pages of the past.

The Turkish convoy was headed by Mustafa Agha, mayor of a Turkish city which went into a twinning agreement with Gaza’s Jabaliya.

Haneyya congratulated the agreement saying that it would provide and improve many services.
