Help Nil’in Village to Replant Olive Trees

“When you lay siege to a city and wage war against it a long time to capture it, do not destroy its trees, wielding an ax against any food-producing tree. Is a tree of the field a man who will come against you in the siege?”

(Deuteronomy 20:19)

This is what real Judaism teaches about the prohibition of destroying trees. Harsh reality is, many trees are being uprooted by settlers or occupation forces to make room for settlements or just to deprive the people of Palestine of their crops, food or income by trading the olives, it’s oil or other products.

Nil’in lost 1100 Olive Trees

Ni’lin has lost 1100 of its olive trees since the construction of the apartheid wall began in 2008. Some of them has been bulldozed, some of them burned, all of them a tragedy for a society dependent of the olive harvest. This website is a response to a local call to collect funding to replant the trees.

The goal is to replant half of the lost trees in January 2012. You can help by donating a tree or more, or by spreading information about this initiative!

Donating 1 Olive Tree only cost 7 Euro (each)
For donation of one or more Olive trees please visit the website Replant Palestine

In Islam, donating a tree is a very excellent form of sadaqa jaria (continuous charity) and will be a source of reward for as long as individuals or the community benefit.Which, in case of an olive tree can be very long benefit for your rewards because an olive tree can age thousands of years, all the fruits it brings forth and the people it feed s will be your reward.
