He shared prisoners the strike of 2004 and got many punishments including isolation, prevention from visits, even from visit of his four children. He was allowed to get one family visit every year.

His family had the chance of seeing him last year in spite of his critical health condition, his mother died few months ago and he was prevented from participating the funeral. He suffered from ulcer, pains in the spine and imbalance, and the prison management of Naqab neglected his health condition until he started to pass out.

He was taken on Thursday August 4, 2011 to the hospital of Suruka- Beersheba- after getting unconscious and falling on the ground of the desert jail of Naqab. In hospital, it was discovered that he was infected with critical spread cancer and the doctors said that he would not live long. The prisoners of el-Naqab called the prison management to free him.

Before going to hospital, he suffered for four months from pains in the stomach and spine and inability of eating. He also lost huge amount of weight and ability of talk. Before arrest, he had been a good footballer and he participated in 1993 at the Palestinian Football Team in the international match in Jericho facing the French team.

In August, the Israeli occupation authorities freed him after many days of dizziness and appeals of releasing, though he had spent nine years in prison out of 15.
The Israeli occupation authorities prevented him, at the beginning of September from going to Jordan for medic treatment.

After days of prevention from travel for treatment, he was allowed. He came back home after days, but his medic condition is not encouraging. The Israeli occupation authorities holds the responsibility of deteriorating his  condition until it reached to this step.

Zakaria 3Isa is one of many Palestinian prisoners who faced harsh investigations, bad health circumstances and prevention from proper medic care that led in result to bad consequences.
