PNN -A group of Israeli settlers attacked students and teachers from the Cordoba girls’ school in the Old City of Hebron and Israeli soldiers arrested the assistant director of the school.

An eyewitness told the Palestinian state news wire Wafa, “A group of settlers attacked the students and teachers as they left school. The assistant director was arrested by the soldiers while she was trying to save the students.”
Unconfirmed reports claimed that settlers kicked and insulted the girls. Settlers in H2, the Israeli-controlled sector of Hebron housing 500 Jews and 2,000 soldiers, are frequently seen throwing stones at their Palestinian neighbors.
For the past week, the Cordoba school director and several teachers have demonstrated and held classes outside of the checkpoint separating the Palestinian-controlled H1 and Israeli-controlled H2 sectors of Hebron, protesting the decision to only allow entrance to those who pass through a special electronic gate. Teachers began refusing the order last week.
An unnamed media source told Wafa that soldiers prevented Palestinian journalists from reaching the Cordoba school to cover the attack.
