Every October, Palestinian families take to their groves to harvest olives from the approximately 10 million olive trees throughout the West Bank. Facing a dry year and an unprecedented number of attacks coming from Israeli settlers, many Palestinians welcome the help of international solidarity activists. In the West Bank village of Khallet ‘Afana, southwest of Bethlehem and surrounded by the three illegal Israeli settlements of Migdal Oz, El’azar, and Allon Shevut, PNN photographer Lo Yuk Fai accompanied internationals from the Alternative Tourism Group to the harvest:
