RAMALLAH, (PIC)– Palestinian sources said that the Eishel prison administration moved Reyad al-Ammour to Ramlah prison hospital because of the deterioration in his health, pointing out that he suffers heart problems.
Ammour, 42, from the village Takkou’ in the Bethlehem district was arrested on 15 May 2003 and sentenced to 11 life sentences. He suffers heart problems and is fitted with a pacemaker. He also suffers from difficulty in breathing and back pain because he was hit with a number of IOF bullets before he was arrested, one of them is still lodged in his back.
The sources added that Ammour suffers from medical neglect and has been experiencing severe pain lately and often loses consciousness. He urgently needs a new pacemaker fitted, something that has been advised by doctors, but the prison administration keeps putting it off, until he reached this stat. He can only sleep sitting up as he suffers severe breathing difficulty and fever.
