JENIN, (PIC)– Israeli occupation authority renewed the administrative detention of former Palestinian minister of captives Wasfi Kabaha (52 years) for the second time.

The family of kabaha told the PIC correspondent: “We received a phone call his solicitor telling that the occupation authorities renewed his detention which was due to end on 10 December, a further six months which will end on 10 June next year.”

Kabaha, who suffers from diabetes and high blood pressure, was detained nine times by the Israeli occupation spending on aggregate 13 years in occupation jails. The last time he was released from jail was on 23 April 2010. He served as Minister of Captives’ Affairs in the tenth Palestinian government.

Kabaha’s family called on all human rights organisations to pressure the Israeli occupation to stop the practice of administrative detention by which the occupation can detain Palestinians indefinitely without charge or trial.
