CAIRO, (PIC)– A delegation from Hamas Movement led by deputy head of its political bureau Mousa Abu Marzouk is expected to meet on Sunday in Cairo with Fatah officials to resume talks about the national reconciliation and address the contentious points.

A Palestinian informed source on Saturday told the Palestinian information center (PIC) on condition of anonymity that the two delegations would table the mechanisms of implementing what was agreed upon in the reconciliation agreement.

The formation of the national unity government and the avenues to activate the popular resistance against the occupation are among the important issues to be discussed during the meeting, the source added.

The two sides will also address ways to close the file of political detention once and for all and the formation of central committees such as those related election and its court.

Another meeting in this regard is due to take place on Tuesday between Hamas and Fatah officials involving as well other Palestinian factions.

The Hamas delegation also met later on the same day senior officials from the Egyptian intelligence and discussed with them the developments of the reconciliation talks taking place under the auspices of Egypt.

Senior Hamas officials had arrived on Saturday evening in Cairo to resume national talks with Fatah representatives and follow up what was agreed upon during the last meeting between political leader Khaled Mashaal and de facto president Mahmoud Abbas.
