RAMALLAH, (PIC)– The Palestinian prisoner society said the Israeli prison administrations persist in not providing Palestinian jailed patients with the appropriate medical treatment which causes their health condition to worsen very badly.

The society’s lawyer visited many patients in Israeli jails and reported that the Israeli jailers only provide pain killers for Palestinian prisoners and offer unsafe surgeries putting their lives on the line.

One of those patients, according to the society, is prisoner Yakoub Gawadrah, from Jenin city, who suffers from serious pains in his back, but the prison administration offered him no choice but to undergo risky surgeries and sign a disclaimer.

Because of the contrast in diagnoses of his medical conditions and the high probability that the surgery would fail according to doctors and the many prisoners who had failed surgeries, Gawadrah decided not to have the sugary and live with his suffering.

The Palestinian prisoner society appealed to international human rights and medical organizations to necessarily delegate a medical committee to check on the conditions of patients in Israeli jails and work on ending their suffering.

In a related incident, the health condition of prisoner Rizq Al-Rajoub deteriorated very badly and Israeli administration of Beersheba jail refuses to end his solitary confinement or allow his relative and lawyers to meet him, according to his family.

Quds Press quoted his wife Basma Al-Rajoub as saying that her husband has spent about 20 years in Israeli jails on charges of his affiliation with Hamas Movement and suffers from several health problems including stomach ulcers and severe pains in his back and feet.
For their part, the Palestinian prisoners in Ramon jail said they would go on hunger strike every Tuesday as of next month and warned they would take other protest steps as well to pressure the administration to end its repressive actions against them.

In a letter leaked from their prison, they said the situation in the jail could explode any moment as a result of their deteriorating conditions.
