GAZA, (PIC)– The Gaza health ministry has lashed out at the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) for arresting a Palestinian patient at the Beit Hanun (Erez) crossing while on his way to a West Bank hospital.
Dr. Ashraf Al-Qudra said that the 25-year-old patient Bassam Rihan, from Jabalia in northern Gaza, had all medical reports necessary to prove his health condition and permits to cross Beit Hanun for treatment in the West Bank.
He charged that the IOF practice was part of its consistent human rights violations to which the UN was blind.
Qudra said that the IOF soldiers at the northern Gaza crossing routinely blackmail and humiliate Palestinian patients other than beating and kidnapping some of them.
The Israeli occupation poses a real threat to stability in the region and the biggest challenge to human rights in the 21st century, which the UN had declared the century of freedoms, the spokesman said.
Qudra appealed to the Red Cross and all international organizations to assume their humanitarian role and demand the release of Rihan, who suffers severe weakness in his foot movement due to an injury during the Israeli war on Gaza in his thighs that affected his nerves.

How many more dead corpses of Palestinians and others, does the International community need to see in order to act? How many more cruelties and violations of Human Rights, Regulations and International Law will be needed to intervene so this ongoing warcrime is being stopped once and for all.
