AL-KHALIL, (PIC)– The Israeli occupation authority renewed the administrative detention of Hamas leader Ayed Dudeen for another six months for the second time running.

Dudeen, 44, was arrested in August last year less than 40 days after his release from Israeli administrative custody where he was the oldest serving administrative detainee.

Dudeen used to represent Palestinian prisoners in Negev jail and was one of the spokesmen of those prisoners.

Dudeen, from Dura town in Al-Khalil, spent 14 and half years in Israeli prisons for affiliation with Hamas movement. His brother Mousa was released in the late last year’s exchange deal between Hamas and Israel and has been deported to Qatar.
