Israel unable to fight war with Iran

A noteworthy editor says the brutal Israeli regime’s failed diplomacy to rouse an attack on Iran is met with frustration as it attacks innocent Palestinians on the Gaza Strip.

Press TV has conducted an interview with Dr. E. Michael Jones, editor of Culture Wars Magazine, from Indiana, to further discuss the situation.

The following is a transcription of the interview.

Press TV: Let’s start off with the increasing Israeli air aggressions on the Gaza Strip as of recent. Share with us your thoughts on these attacks.

Jones: I think we have to look at the bigger situation. I think Israel has now been blocked on a number of fronts in trying to orchestrate some type of attack on Iran.

First of all, the Obama administration has sent General Dempsey to Israel to tell them that the United States is not going to back them up with an attack on Iran.

The second thing is that the Russians have now determined that there’s not going to be a no-fly zone over Syria. They have come to Syria’s aid, so they’re blocked on that front.

So, in looking for some type of way to find a provocation for an attack on Iran, they have to go with the only area left with them and that is Gaza where they can attack these people at will and with impunity.

Press TV: You do mention the bigger picture. How long will these attacks and violations continue? -No international body is taking action, no UN, US resolutions to stop the attacks and remove the blockade on Gaza. And if any watered down resolution makes it to the security council, the outcome of that is already predicable which is a veto by the so-called flag bearer of human rights, the United States, who, in fact, logistically provides the Israelis with whatever military equipment it is that that they have. How long is the Israeli regime going to continue to feel it’s above the law?

Jones: It will continue for as long as they can act without any type of recrimination or any type of punishment for what they’re doing. So, the answer is I don’t know how long it’s going to take…

The right to organizations depends upon conscience. And these people have proved they’re good at suppressing conscience. So when they tried to send ships in they murdered people on the ships. It just doesn’t look good.

I hope that Egypt will be able to bring fuel to their generators and stuff like that. After a while there’ll be some public outcry and eventually they’ll have to back off and look for another provocation. The answer is I don’t know how long it’s going to take.
