CAIRO, (PIC)– Egyptian foreign minister Mohammed Kamel Amr has condemned the Israeli occupation authority’s desecration of the sanctity of the holy Aqsa mosque in occupied Jerusalem.
He said in a press release shortly before the inauguration of the Doha international conference on Jerusalem on Sunday that the world community must shoulder its responsibility vis-à-vis the escalating attacks on the Aqsa mosque.
Amr said that his country could not remain silent toward the Israeli forces’ storming of the Aqsa mosque or any repetition of the act.
He charged that the IOA practices and policies in occupied Jerusalem represent a blatant violation of the international law, which considers eastern Jerusalem as an occupied territory, other than posing as a flagrant provocation for Palestinians, Arabs, and followers of heavenly religions.
