RAMALLAH, (PIC)– Palestinian administrative detainee Hana’a Shalabi has entered her 11th day of hunger strike demanding her immediate release as a human rights group called for saving her life.

Hana’a was released only four months ago in the prisoners’ exchange deal between Hamas and Israel that stipulated among other things that released prisoners should not be re-arrested.

The Israeli prison administration in Hasharon jail threatened Hana’a after taking her to an isolation cell that she would be transferred to the ward of Jewish homicide convicts in Ramle jail if she continued in her hunger strike.

Parents of the detainee said their daughters wanted the Egyptian authorities to intervene in the issue since Cairo was the patron of the exchange deal.

Her father Yahya Shalabi said that the intelligence officer who was among the soldiers who stormed their home beat up his daughter before taking her away.

For its part, the Dameer foundation for human rights asked the world community and human rights groups to intervene and pressure Israel into releasing Hana’a, 29.

It urged the signatories of the fourth Geneva convention to assume their legal responsibilities and to pressure Israel into abiding by articles of the international and humanitarian laws.

Dameer said in a press release it was following up with concern the worsening health condition of Hana’a, and appealed for saving her life.
