Israel fraud the history by building Talmudic Gardens around Al Aqsa

Jerusalem Center for Media – Sources – Qudsmedia Feb 26 2012

Al Aqsa Foundation for Waqf and Heritage observed that Israel has stepped up the projects meant for enclosing Al Aqsa mosque with so-called Talmudic and biblical gardens.

The gardens extended to the mosque’s south-east border along Silwan town and Sawwanah valley, and to its northern border between Bab Al A’moud and Bab Al Sahera.

“The occupation’s antiques authority recently started constructing stone terraces and reconditioning the old ones to take a traditional style. Moreover, they planted olive and fig trees in the so-called biblical gardens”, the foundation told (Alresalah.ps).

They also constructed new roads and sidewalks linking their biblical gardens with the south-eastern areas of Al Aqsa Mosque.

The project has mobilized a huge number of skilled labors who used high-tech equipment for the purpose. Besides, the workers carried out archaeological excavations in some of the areas mentioned.

A few days before, the occupation has finished tiling and processing of a bus stop near Bab Al A’moud and next to so-called Al Kittan Cave as they deformed the Islamic landmarks locating in the site, whereas the stop will be limited for the buses carrying foreign tourists and settlers going to visit Al Kittan Cave.

Briefed on Israeli documents and maps, Al Aqsa Foundation said “the occupation authority is planning for the establishment of nine biblical gardens stretching from south of Silwan town to north Issawiya town with three thousand acres in area.

Israel calls the nine-garden project “Jerusalem National Park” which includes three gardens under the name of “gardens of King David” occupying an area between 20 and 50 acres each, “the garden of the Mount of Olives” occupying an area of 467 acres, “the garden of Herod’s Gate” occupying an area of 40 acres, “the garden of Valley Sawwanah” occupying an area of 165 acres, “the garden of friend Shimon” occupying an area of 120 acres, and “the garden of slopes of Mount Scopus” occupying an area of 750 acres built on the lands of Issawiya town.

The Foundation considered the establishment of these biblical gardens “counterfeiting of geography, history and archeology”, indicating that “Israel is striving to steer the situation in Jerusalem into its ambition for an illusory history by having the original Islamic and Arab landmarks blurred and labeled with Hebrew fake names”.
