A PROTEST will be held outside Bristol Museum & Art Gallery by campaigners angry that environmental services firm Veolia is sponsoring a wildlife exhibition.
Members of the Bristol Palestine Solidarity Campaign claim the company should not be supporting the exhibition because of its involvement in a controversial transport project in Israel.
Dressed as monkeys and other animals, the campaigners will protest outside the museum in Queen’s Road, Clifton, between noon and 3pm on Saturday.
Protesters have campaigned outside the museum since the exhibition opened in November and have also met museum bosses.
The wildlife exhibition, organised by the BBC and the Natural History Museum, has also been the target of protests in London.
Protesters claim Veolia has helped Israel build and operate a tramway linking illegal settlements in East Jerusalem, breaking international law.
French-owned Veolia has said it is selling off its transport division, which is involved in the Israeli project.
