Ramallah, March 02 (QNA) – The Israeli occupation authorities has released Naji Al-Tamimi, an activist leader from the Popular Palestinian Popular Resistance Movement (Uprising) after nearly a year of prison. Al-Tamimi was sentenced to a one year prison term and a ten thousand shekels a financial fine after being arrested with Bassim Tamim, another activist who is still under detention on charges of organizing weekly demonstrations in the West Bank village of Nabi Saleh.
In a statement today the Movement expressed pleasure over the release of Naji al-Tamimi, expressing the need for action by human rights organizations for the early release of Bassim Al-Tamimi and all Palestinian prisoners.(QNA)
