RAMALLAH, (PIC)– Detained young woman Hana’a Shalabi has declared insistence on continuing in her hunger strike until her release from Israeli administrative custody.
Shalabi in a message carried by lawyer of the ministry of prisoners said that she would not accept any bargaining on her freedom.
“The Israeli occupation government has gone too far in humiliating and torturing us,” she said, adding that her re-arrest reflected the IOA racist, merciless policy.
Shalabi said that she was protected by the prisoners’ exchange deal, the Egyptian patronage, and the Red Cross. She said that all charges against her were fabricated.
She said that the IOA arrested her for intending to resist occupation, adding that Israel should then arrest the entire people of Palestine who have the intention to free Palestine. “Israel is the only government in the world that puts people on trial for their intentions,” she said.
The lawyer that visited Shalabi said that her health condition was worsening because of the hunger strike and she was losing weight, adding that the IOA returned her to the prisoners’ ward after ending her punishment in isolation. The lawyer said that Shalabi still enjoyed high morale despite her condition and did not undergo any medical check-up since her arrest.
