GAZA, (PIC)– First deputy speaker of the Palestinian legislative council (PLC) Ahmed Baher along with a number of lawmakers arrived in Morocco on Sunday coming from Tunisia.

The media office of the PLC said Baher met with Moroccan premier Abdul-Ilah Benkiran and briefed him on the latest developments regarding the occupied city of Jerusalem, the reconstruction efforts in Gaza, and the kidnapping of Palestinian lawmakers.

The Palestinian lawmakers who accompanied Baher on his tour also met with head of the unification and reform movement in Morocco Mohamed Al-Hamdawi and top officials from the movement and explored with them avenues of supporting the Palestinian cause.

In a related context, the first deputy speaker urged in a letter sent to the president of the Arab parliamentary union to necessarily include the issue of Palestinian lawmakers in Israeli jails on the agenda of the union meeting to be held on Monday in Kuwait.
