CAIRO, (PIC)– At the invitation of the Egyptian syndicate of journalists, an intellectual political conference discussing “the option of dissolving the Palestinian authority” was held on Monday in Cairo in the presence of a galaxy of Palestinian and Egyptian journalists, thinkers and scholars.
The conferees explored this option as “intellectual opulence or a real alternative” and discussed at length the realistic dimensions of this option and the stated opinions of different Palestinian parties on this issue as well as the results if the Palestinian authority was really dissolved.
Egyptian lawmaker and professor of political science at Cairo university Hasan Nafi’ah and member of the Egyptian state council Mahmoud Abul Gheit in addition to a large number of prominent intellectuals participated in the conference.
Most of the participants were unanimous about the need to dissolve the Palestinian Authority as a way out of the setback that has befallen the Palestinian national project.
