BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) — Israeli forces dispersed a weekly demonstration in the West Bank village of al-Masara, near Bethlehem, and prevented residents from reaching their lands, activists said.
The local popular committee spokesman Muhammad Breijeh said this week’s protest was in solidarity with Hana Shalabi, a detainee without charge on hunger-strike. He stressed the need for more marches “before it is too late.”

Administrative detention is not consistent with international norms, Breijeh added, insisting that more needs to be done to “reveal Israel’s crimes”. He condemned Israel’s treatment of detainees.
