JENIN, (PIC)– The Israeli administration of Megiddo jail has been isolating Palestinian prisoner Adib Al-Qut for 14 days for launching hunger strike in solidarity with hunger striker Hana’a Shalabi.

Local sources told the PIC reporter on Saturday that Qut, who is serving a 15-year sentence, was thrown in solitary confinement as a punishment for his solidarity hunger strike.

A number of administrative detainees have gone on hunger strike to protest their incarceration without trial or charge and in solidarity with Shalabi who has been on hunger strike for 24 days demanding her immediate release from administrative custody.
