RAMALLAH, (PIC)– Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched a search campaign in various West Bank areas at dawn Sunday that ended with the arrest of six Palestinians.
Hebrew newspaper Yediot Ahronot said on its website that the detainees were suspected of involvement in attacks against Israeli targets, adding that three of them were from Nablus city and the other three from Ramallah villages.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation authority summoned an ex-prisoner in Halhul village, Al-Khalil governorate, few months after his release in the Egyptian-mediated prisoners’ exchange deal between Israel and Hamas.
An IOF unit stormed the village at a late hour on Saturday and stormed a number of homes including that of the liberated prisoner Saud Zama’ara.
Zama’ara said that the soldiers searched his home then handed him a summons for questioning at the intelligence offices.
Zama’ara had served eight and a half years of his 10-year sentence when he was released among 550 others in the second stage of the deal.
