GAZA, (PIC)– The refugees’ department in Hamas movement has urged the Arab summiteers meeting in Baghdad on Thursday to prioritize the suffering of Palestinian refugees in Iraq.

The department issued a press release on Wednesday saying that Palestinian refugees in Iraq have been the target of a ferocious extermination campaign at the hands of extremist “gangs” that could not be part of the generous Iraqi people.

It urged the Arab summit, scheduled to open in Baghdad on Thursday, to seek a binding international resolution stipulating the return of all Palestinian refugees to their homeland.

The statement asked the Arab leaders to prioritize Jerusalem and the Aqsa mosque on their agenda, and proposed formation of the “Quds Army” to be entrusted with liberation of the holy city and the third holiest shrine in Islam.

The statement urged the Arab kings and presidents to expedite lifting the siege on Gaza Strip and ending its fuel and power crisis that is negatively affecting all aspects of life in the enclave.
