JENIN, (PIC)– The freed detainee Hana Shalabi’s mother and family appealed on Monday to all international institutions and Egypt, as a mediator, to demand the return of her deported daughter from Gaza to her home in Burkin village, Jenin province.

The mother has confirmed, in a meeting with a women’s delegation from 1948 occupied Palestine, that her daughter was subjected to pressure and harassment in the prison. She was in a very bad health condition, the mother added, and she was forced to sign on her deportation order and to stop her hunger strike.

The women delegation has visited the sit-in tents in Kafr El-Patron and Burkin in Jenin and expressed their solidarity with the striker’s issue. The women delegation, including political and social activists from Haifa, Nazareth, the Galilee, and the Triangle, condemned the occupation’s decision to deport Hana to Gaza and its aggressive policy against Palestinian prisoners, especially the administrative detention.
