AL-KHALIL, (PIC)– Israeli occupation forces (IOF) violently quelled a peaceful anti-wall march in Beit Ummar village to the north of Al-Khalil on Saturday wounding a Palestinian child and two foreign activists.
The national committee against the wall in the village said that the IOF soldiers beat up Hamza Abu Hashem, 14, with rifle butts and batons. It added that both his feet were bruised in the assault.
It said that an American activist was injured when shrapnel of a sound bomb hit her feet while another foreigner was bruised after the soldiers beat him.
Local and foreign activists waved Palestinian flags while heading to village land threatened with confiscation near the Jewish settlement of Karmi Tzur. They protested the confiscation of Palestinian land, settlement activity, and the separation wall. They also expressed solidarity with Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.
