GAZA, (PIC)– Oldest serving Jordanian prisoners in Israeli jails have announced they would join the Palestinian prisoners hunger strike scheduled to start on Tuesday.

The Palestinian center for studies said in a statement on Saturday evening that three Jordanian prisoners have declared intention to go on hunger strike.

One of those prisoners, Iyad Abu Khedeir, who has served 8 years of his 9-year-sentence, said they almost forgot the features of their relatives due to the long period of detention and denial of visits.

He said that the Jordanian prisoners hoped that their government and organizations concerned with prisoners’ affairs would display more concern with their issue and shed light on their hunger strike.

The prisoners hoped that their strike would force the Israeli occupation authority to allow family visits, Abu Khedeir said.
