A seminar and a photo exhibition were organized in East Jerusalem al-Quds to highlight the plight of thousands of Palestinian prisoners currently held inside Israeli jails.

As the mass hunger strike enters its second week, solidarity events with Palestinian prisoners continue to be held across the occupied Palestinian territories.

Palestinian Photo Journalist Mahfouz Abu Turk decided to hold a photo exhibition in solidarity with the hunger strikers.

Dozens of families of Palestinian prisoners attended the seminar organized by U free at the Palestinian National Theatre in East Jerusalem al-Quds.

Nayef Jwehan attended while holding a photo of his son Muhanad, who is serving a 25-year sentence.

Abu Musa Darwish has two sons in Jail.

Former British MP Martin Lindon addressed the attendees and had harsh words for Israel.

A newly released press report by the Palestinian Human rights organization Addameer says that since April 17, the day the hunger strike was launched, scores of pioneers have joined the first 1600 hunger strikers.

The report further says that the Israel prison service has cut off electricity and water on hunger strikers in the notorious Negev prison of Nafha.
