Resheq: Hamas launches broad international campaign to support prisoners’ issue | #PalHunger

BEIRUT (PIC) — Political bureau member of Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas Ezzet Al-Resheq said: “The hunger striking prisoners’ issue will be the central focus of a broad action campaign launched by Hamas leadership at the national, Arabic and international levels.

In a press release on Saturday, Resheq said that the action will focus on gathering all Arab, Islamic and international support to the prisoners’ issue and their demands including canceling the oppressive Shalit law and the end of solitary confinement where some prisoners spent more than ten years in what prisoners term “graves for the living”.

The “Hamas” leader called for internationalizing the hunger striking prisoners’ issue and to advance it to the General Assembly and Security Council of the UN, through a unified Palestinian position towards this just issue and with an Arab and Islamic support, in order to pressure the occupation and to expose its repressive practices against the prisoners.

Besides, he demanded to compel the Zionist occupation to treat Palestinian captives as war prisoners calling on human rights organizations and media, to ask the Zionist soldier Shalit, captured by Hamas, about the treatment he received while being imprisoned by the Qassam Brigades and which was based on the Islamic good treatment for prisoners, then to compare it with the occupiers’ inhuman treatment of their Palestinian prisoners.
