CAIRO, (PIC)– The Egyptian Parliament condemned , in its session on Tuesday evening, the Zionist crimes against the Palestinian people and prisoners in occupation prisons.
The People’s Assembly Commission for Arab Affair had strongly condemned, in a statement, the Zionist crimes against the Palestinian people in all occupied Palestinian territories and declared its total support to the Palestinian prisoners in occupation prisons who are using a new resistance weapon in their struggle for justice which is the battle of the empty stomachs.
The Committee warned the Zionist authority of its continuous crimes against the defenseless Palestinian people, and condemned the kidnapping and detention process of thousands of Arab prisoners and held the occupation responsible for their lives.
The committee called to, in coordination with the Egyptian, Arab, and international civil society institutions, disclose the occupation’s crimes, calling for broad Arab protests against occupation brutality and to pressure Arab governments to take part in releasing the Palestinian and Arab prisoners.
It called on the United Nations and International Red Cross to bear their responsibilities to force the occupation to respect international law. Dr. Amr Hamzawy, a member in the committee, asked to issue a recommendation to the International Parliament and the Euro-Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly to form fact-finding committees on Arab prisoners in occupation jails.
