GAZA (PIC)– Palestinian youths closed, on Sunday, headquarters of international organizations operating in the Gaza Strip, for several hours, to protest their lack of seriousness in dealing with the issue of prisoners in occupation jails who have been on hunger strike for the twenty-seventh day, successively.

The institutions, which doors have being closed, included: The International Committee of the Red Cross, UNESCO, and UNDP, when the Palestinian youths prevented these institutions’ staffs from practicing their works for two hours, and demanded them to show clear actions supporting the prisoners’ rights through protecting the detainees and intervening for their immediate release, especially after being on an open-ended hunger strike since April 17.

Furthermore, the protestors warned of escalating their actions supporting the prisoners, in case the hunger striking prisoners’ suffering continues, condemning “the shameful silence of the international institutions,” about the prisoners’ cause.

The youths, who represent the independent youth activists, affirmed in a statement that out of their duties towards the prisoners, they will be taking escalated actions against those organizations if they remain silent and idle towards the prisoners’ just cause and rights guaranteed by the fourth Geneva Convention, the human rights charters and the document issued by the Red Cross concerning the administrative detention.
