NABLUS, (PIC)– Ahrar Center for Prisoners’ Studies and Human Rights stated that detainee Zuhair Lubada arrived at the Watani hospital in the city of Nablus, suffering seriously deteriorated health condition.
Fouad Khuffash, the director of the center, said that captive Lubada, who suffers from liver cirrhosis and kidney failure, is now in the intensive care unit. He was released from the Israeli jails when his lawyer Fares Abu Hassan succeeded to obtain a court order to release him due to the seriousness of his health condition.
Khuffash appealed to media organizations to visit the national government hospital in order to see for themselves the health condition of Lubada who had been held in administrative detention without charge or trial.
It is noted that the prisoner Zuhair Lubada is one of the leaders in “Hamas” movement in the city of Nablus, and that he had been arrested several times by IOF to spend several years in its jails. He had also been deported to southern Lebanon in 1992.
