AL-KHALIL, (PIC)– The office of the speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC), Dr Aziz Duwaik, denied news reports concerning an occupation proposal to deport him outside the country for two years.

The office confirmed that the news is completely false, and that what happened is that Duwaik’s lawyer applied for the Zionist military prosecutor to release Dr Duwaik, and that he is still waiting for a response in this regard.

The PLC’s Office emphasized that any news related to Dr. Duwaik should be taken from an official source, either from the office manager or the lawyer, and appealed to the media to check the news’ accuracy and credibility.

Fouad Khuffash, the director of Ahrar Center for prisoners’ Studies and human rights, had stated that PLC Speaker, MP Dr. Aziz Duwaik, rejected on Thursday a Zionist offer requiring his release in return for his deportation from Palestine for two years, and preferred to remain detained, throughout his life, on being deported from his homeland.

Khuffash added that PLC’s President, who is held under administrative detention in Ofer prison without charge or trial, is facing a Zionist blackmail that is morally and internationally rejected.
