OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)– The Israeli occupation authorities have deployed undercover policemen in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem to arrest young Palestinians.

The Jerusalem district police chief had led a tour last week with representatives of Zionist fanatic groups in Palestinian neighborhoods in occupied Jerusalem where the Israeli police had deployed undercover units in Sheikh Jarrah, according to Yerushalayim weekly newspaper.

Members of Jerusalem Municipal Council had participated in the tour where they met the religious extremist groups’ representatives who have complained of the problems they face during visits to the false Jewish graves at the Mount of Olives and other sites.

Municipal council members said that it is the first time the police chief allocates a whole special unit in the same place, adding that 28 Palestinians, including minors, have been arrested in order “to restore calm in the neighborhood”.
