RAMALLAH,(PIC)– Occupation forces continued to impose a tight security cordon on the village of Nabi Saleh northwest of Ramallah for the fourth consecutive day, since last Friday morning.

The village’s popular resistance committee stated that IOF has closed the village’s main entrance, preventing north area’s residents from passing through this entrance which is considered one of the main entrances in northwest of Ramallah.

The committee explained that this closure has caused traffic crisis where it prevented thousands of residents from going to and return from their work, forcing residents to tread dirt roads and vehicles to go through long, cumbersome and bypass routes.

Eyewitnesses reported that an Israeli officer announced on Friday evening to the citizens that this closure will continue for at least one week.

The committee’s information center said this closure is a continuation of the Israeli collective punishment imposed on the village in order to limit the weekly popular resistance and to break their will to resist.
