HEBRON (Ma’an) — Israeli settlers blocked Palestinian farmers from reaching their lands in the southern West Bank on Wednesday, witnesses said.
Farmer Abu Iyad Housheh told Ma’an they were forced at gunpoint to leave the fields near Um al-Rais and Al-Atariya southeast of Hebron.
He said Israeli forces arrived and prevented farmers from accessing the land.
Housheh said the group had toured the area with Israel’s Civil Administration three weeks earlier, where they provided maps and documents to prove their ownership of the land.
