Current #PalHunger strikers:

Mahmoud Sarsak reached MSM, yet many others: Still silenced

On June 14, 2012, Palestine and all it’s supporters voiced the demand to release Mahmoud Sarsak and #PalHunger strikers, illegally/administrative detained.

Mahmoud Sarsak a 25 year old football player of Palestine’s National Football team is in Israeli prison now for 3 years, held without any charges.

In the toughest match there can be: Life vs Death

After a mass hunger strike in which 3500 Palestinian prisoners demanded just human rights and Israel to live up to International law and respecting those, Israel brokered a deal. Solely to stop Palestine’s hunger strikers and especially, to ensure your eyes turn away from it’s atrocities.

It’s time to get your full attention on this again for after the deal was brokered and the #PalHunger strikers stopped, in hope and expectations of bettering, the violations go on as never before.

Mahmoud Sarsak is dying. Like him many more. Silenced. By Israel, by the media, by governments. Israel silencing the issue, even goes to lows beyond imagination at this moment sending it’s paid hasbara spokespersons out into media to propagate lies and verdicts without, Mahmoud Sarsak now even accused by on online troll, has not even been charges. Not in the three years, not in the almost 3 months of his strike.

ENOUGH = ENOUGH!

Break the silence and demand action, start with acting yourself and ask your friends, family, social network followers for help.

Below, an overview of actions, petitions, protests you can join. Kindly request to amplify and to act.

In the meanwhile Israel brokered another deal. Reminder: The previous ‘deal’ with 3500 #Palhunger strikers was solely aimed not to stop the, but to stop  this world from paying attention to ongoing violations of human rights!

Keep in mind, when someone would detain Ronaldo 1 day, this world would burst. It is quite shameful this world needs 3 years and a 90 days hunger strike to act.

3 YEARS MahmoudSarsak was illegally detained, now,  still illegally detained for he has never been charged nor trialed.

Aside from whatever deal, hundreds of administrative detainees and 234 children are unlawfully jailed/abused. At this moment (June 24, 2012) even 10 children are on a hunger strike. So don’t loose attention!

Israel wants you to loose attention! Now, some ‘big shots’ called them out, now , again a deal, yet Mahmoud still is imprisoned while others still are ON hunger strike or even start(ed) one. In this post we keep you updated about the developments of the ongoing hunger strike and newly started ones.

Reminder: Inalienable human rights, never should be subjected to ‘deals’.

Keep the fight up!

A journal published by Adalah, Physicians for Human Rights-Israel and Al Mezan Centre for Human Rights – June 26, 2012

“On Torture” is an edited volume of essays by Palestinian, Israeli and international legal and medical experts and practitioners based on presentations that they gave during a workshop held in Jerusalem in April 2011 entitled, “Securing Accountability for Torture and Cruel, Inhuman and Degrading Treatment (CIDT) in Israel: New Trends and Comparative Lessons”.

The essayists explore the history of torture in Israel, the daily challenges that practitioners face in seeking accountability for torture and CIDT in Israel, and the changing face of torture.

New Report about Children in Israeli Detention

Children in Military Custody assesses the treatment of Palestinian children under Israeli military law, examining each stage in the process: arrest, interrogation, bail hearings and plea bargains, trial, sentencing, detention and complaints.

The report deals with a comparative analysis of Israeli domestic law as it applies to Israeli children and Israeli military law as it applies to Palestinian children. The central questions addressed are: what are the differences between the two systems and is there any justification for these differences
