GAZA, (PIC)– On the anniversary of Isra and miraj, the Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) called for the support of the steadfastness of the people of occupied Jerusalem to face Israeli desperate attempts to Judaize the city.
The anniversary of Prophet Muhammed’s Night Journey (Isra) from Mecca to Jerusalem and his Ascent to Heavens (Mi’raj) passes at a time of Zionist onslaught against the Aqsa, the destination of Night Journey of the messenger of God, which is still under occupation for more than forty years, PRC stated in a press release on Sunday.
The movement said that this occasion is an opportunity to remind the heedless Muslims of the Israeli despicable attempts to destroy and Judaize the first Qibla (direction of Muslim prayer), the second mosque and the third holiest site in Islam, and to expel its people and replace them with extremist Jewish settlers.
The Movement stressed that Muslims are required to make their efforts to keep the Islamic Aqsa Mosque and the city of Jerusalem, to prevent all the Israeli plans to Judaize the holy city, to free it from the Zionist enemy, and to support the steadfastness of its people.
PRC called on the Arab and Muslim people and the international governments and organizations to support Jerusalemites and to protect Jerusalem as the historical heritage and the first Qiblah of the Muslims.
